There are Mt Kailash tours in Tibet Autonomous Region, which is part of China. It lies in the Kailash Range of the Trans Himalaya, in the western part of the Tibetan Plateau. The peak of Mount Kailash is located at an elevation of 6,638 m, near the western injunction between China, India and Nepal.
In Tibet, China's autonomous region, Mount Kailash (6714m.) is perhaps the world's most sacred peak. Known as Kang Rimpoche by Tibetans, it is a place of worship for Bonpo, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. According to Hindu belief, it is the dwelling place of God Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Buddhist belief that it is the abode of Buddha, Jain belief that it is the place where their first saint attained liberation, and Bon-Po belief that it is a seat of salvation for the nation. Today, travelers and pilgrims from around the world visit Tibet. Tibet is primarily known for Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake as well as its spectacular Himalayan peaks and diverse wildlife. Those who circumambulate holy Mount Kailash believe they gain salvation from birth cycle by getting rid of their sins and wrongdoings. It takes approximately 53 km to travel around Mount Kailash.
Among Tibetans and other pilgrims, circumambulating or making a Kora of Mt. Kailash / Kangri Rinpoche is one of the most popular and pious activities. Buddhism states that attaining enlightenment requires at least one complete kora of Mount Kangri / Kailash. Mapam Yumtso (4580m.) or Manasarovar is a pristine Lake situated near Mount Kailash. Sanskrit language refers to Manasarovar as the Lake of Consciousness. For deep meditation and spiritual peace, great monks, saints, and priests spent time in Manasarovar in ancient mythologies of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. By bathing in the lake and drinking its water, Hindu pilgrims purify themselves from sin and attain "Moksha" or ultimate salvation. Monterosa can help you realize your dream of visiting this divine land and spiritual landmarks. We hope you remember us for this unforgettable holy trip.

Pashupatinath Temple: Lord Shiva is worshipped at Pashupatinath Temple, one of the four most important Shiva shrines in Asia. Pashupati is known not only for being the incarnation of Lord Shiva, but also as the lord of all creatures. This pagoda was constructed with a golden spire, two copper roofs, silver corners, and hand-carved wood carvings. There is a golden statue of Nandi (Shiva's bull) guarding the inner area of the main temple. Pashupatinath Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Two Arati are performed every evening at the Pashupatinath temple. There are two types of aartis performed: one inside the temple and one outside the temple during the Bagmati Ganga Aarti.
Pashupatinath Temple Inner Aarti: During the evening Aarati ritual at the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, the specific time varies by season. Following the Evening Aarati ritual is Bagmati Ganga Aarati. During this enchanting ceremony, priests sing hymns, chant, and offer lights to Lord Shiva, creating a spiritual and cultural experience that will be treasured for a lifetime. The inside of the Aarati is only for Hindu devotees. As one of the holiest Hindu shrines in the world, the temple is regarded as one of the most sacred places in the world.
The Bagmati Ganga Aarti: Kathmandu's Pashupatinath Temple performs Bagmati Ganga Aarti nightly after the Inner Aarati as part of its Hindu religious rituals. As priests perform the ritual on the banks of Bagmati River, devotees listen to rhythmic chanting, sacred offerings, and the movement of large oil lamps to the accompaniment of traditional instruments. During the ritual, participants and observers are at peace, creating a spiritual atmosphere. Non-Hindus are not allowed into the main shrine courtyard, but they may view the riverside Bagmati Ganga Aarti.
14 May 2027 (Friday) Day 02: As mentioned in the following itinerary, after breakfast we will begin our full-guided holy sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. One of the tallest Shiva temples in Nepal is Kailashnath Mahadev Statue. After the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue in Bali, Indonesia, it is the second tallest Hindu deity. The Kailash Nath Shiva statue is located in Sanga, Nepal, about 20 km from Kathmandu. These 144 foot / 44-meters-high statues was constructed using copper, zinc, cement, and steel. After Saga, visit Doleshwor Mahadev temple for Darshan.
Visit Doleshwor: For Shiva devotees, a trip to Kailash is incomplete without visiting Doleshwor Mahadev and Pashupatinath temples in Kathmandu. Kedarnath, one of the Char Dham Yatra was officially declared the head of the Char Dham Yatra on Aug. 22, 2009. In 2013, after the devastating flood hit Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand, regular prayers were conducted in Doleshwor Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. Kedarnath Temple's head priest requested regular prayers to be held in Doleshwor Mahadev Temple instead of Kedarnath Temple.
Buddhist Temple Boudhanath Stupa: World heritage site recognized by UNESCO. Buddhism is a pilgrimage destination for Tibetans because of its enormous stupa. Visit nearby monasteries and schools for prayers and seminars and stroll around the gleaming white dome adorned with painted Buddha eyes. Nepal's Boudhanath stupa is located in Kathmandu. This stupa is one of Nepal's largest spherical stupas, located about 10km from Kathmandu's center and northeastern outskirts. You can visit Swayambhu Nath if time permits or sees the Buddha Stupa dominating the skyline. Swayambhu Nath is a little hillock northwest of Kathmandu city where you can find peace and pray. Since the 1970s, visitors who found the name tongue-twister have called it "Monkey Temple." There is a panoramic view of the city from Swayambhu Nath, which overlooks most of the valley. With Hindu temples and deities incorporated in this Buddhist site, the stupa has stood for centuries as a symbol of faith and harmony. Here is said to be the beginning of the glory of Kathmandu Valley.
Visit Guhjeswari: There are eight mother goddesses in the Astha Matrikas (Eight Mother Goddesses). Among them is Guhyeshori Shakti Pith temple. According to the Hindu legend Pauranik Katha. When Shiva's first consort SATI DEVI was insulted by her husband, she dropped herself into YAGYAAKUND (a religious fire ceremony). His corpse was burned senseless by grief when Shiva retrieved her and flew from Nepal to India. In the area where SATI DEVI's body lies, 51 Shakti Piths can be found. We call Guhyeshori the place where her secret part (GOPYA) vagina fell to, which we call Guhyeshori. We return to the hotel for a vegetarian buffet lunch, and she protects the deities of the Kathmandu Valley as well.
15 May 2027 (Saturday) Day 03: Kailash pilgrims are taken to Pashupatinath temple for Rudrabhishek, Hawan, and Aarati early in the morning. Seven or eleven Brahmin priests prepare the fire offering Hawan in the pavilion (mandap) and perform Sankalpa Pooja, followed by Swasti Vachan (preaching), Nyas, Rudra preaching, and Mahamritunjaya Pooja (death victory). 'Rudra', meaning 'Fearful Lord Shiva', is derived from Rudrabhishek, Rudranti Iti Rudri and Rudhiryoge Metal. The meaning is that people on this Earth are suffering from pain, violence, and greed, and that we sing religious hymns in praise of God Shiva to help them escape from these miseries and to attain justice, good health, prosperity, peace, and salvation.
Watch Kailash Tour Video Rudrabhishek in Pashupatinath During Rudrabhishek rituals, Shiva Linga is bathed in holy substances such as milk, honey, and water while Vedic mantras are chanted. By taking part in this auspicious ceremony, you will be able to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva, remove negative energies and obstacles, as well as promote prosperity, health and spiritual peace as well as successful Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.
Hawan (Homa): Hawan is an ancient Vedic fire ritual in Hinduism that involves offering ghee, grains and herbs in a sacred fire to invoke divine blessings. An important aspect of this ritual is the use of fire as a symbol of the burning of impurities and illumination of the soul. It fosters a connection between humans and the divine. During the Rudrabhishek and Hawan rituals in Pashupatinath temple compound, 07 or 11 brahman priests performs the act of divination. Kailash Mansarovar groups are organized by Monterosa Treks and Expeditions to perform Rudrabhishek and Hawan at the Pashupatinath Temple Kathmandu and Manasarovar Lake Tibet, China.
Rudri is done for peace of mind. Pilgrims spend the first day of their Kailash tour visiting Pashupatinath and worshipping there. Devotees are said to receive good merits for worshiping Lord Pashupatinath and performing Aarati. As a result, the Kailash Tour is considered complete only after a holy visit to Pashupatinath. One of the most important pilgrimage sites is Kailash Manasarovar. In addition to Jyothirlinga and Shiva temples, Kailash is a place of pilgrimage. Humans are superior to Soul, Sages are superior to Humans, Gods are superior to sages, and Lord Shiva is superior to Gods even, and Kailash is the dwelling place of the supreme Lord Shiva. As a result, no pilgrimage would be complete without a visit to Kailash. A popular religious custom is to wish for a successful Kailash Tour by performing Rudra (Shiva's idol) Consecration and fire offering (Hawan) to Lord Pashupatinath, which takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Every day, Bhatta pujari performs Panchamrit Pooja at Pashupatinath temple after Rudra Abhishek. It is a payable Pooja at the temple, with a Pooja Thali, milk, Rudrashas mala, flower garland and a lamp. Priest receives it from devotee. In offering Panchamrit Pooja for load, Pashupatinath fulfills all the desires for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra / tour. Prasad and Rudrashas mala are given at the end of the ceremony. Hindu devotees are the only ones who can perform this, Pooja. It is forbidden for other religions to enter the main gates.
Budhanilkantha: (Jal Narayan) Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan) Vishnu Temple located in Budhanilkantha, Nepal, is a Hindu open-air temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. At the northern end of Kathmandu valley, Budhanilkantha Temple can be identified by a large reclining statue of Lord Vishnu below the Shivpuri Hill. Budhanilkantha depicts Vishnu floating as if he were a giant astronaut on a bed of snakes in the middle of a big pool of water. As the name implies, Budhanilkantha means "mud disguised blue throat" and has nothing to do with Buddha. The peculiar name refers to two legends attached to the statue, one of them saying that a farmer found the long-lost statue in the mud when working his field with a plough and the other saying that Vishnu sacrificed himself by drinking the poison of the cosmic ocean, which then turned his throat blue.

19 May 2027 (Wednesday) Day 07: On a Kailash Mansarovar Yatra itinerary, a popular pilgrimage route, the Saga to New Dongba journey passes through the Tibetan region. There is a diverse terrain, with views of the Himalayas and the Brahmaputra River as well as vast, barren Tibetan landscapes. Overnight stay.
Manasarovar Lake: All Yatri staying overnight at the Chiu monastery below where there is a guest house or mud houses available. The Chiu Gompa (or Chiu Monastery) is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on a steep, rocky outcrop overlooking Lake Manasarovar in western Tibet. A popular stop on the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, it houses an ancient meditation cave of Guru Rinpoche and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and Kailash and Manasarovar Lake just 500meters far from the Monastery.
20 May 2027 (Thursday) Day 08: From Saga to Manasarovar Lake: We travel about 350 kilometers in 7- 8 hours on this day. From Hor, you can see Holy Kailash Parvat and Manasarovar for the first time in the afternoon. Immediately after lunch, we begin rotating Manasarovar which should take about 2-3 hours to complete half of the rotation. As you travel along the route, you will encounter different monasteries before reaching Chiu Gompa. Checking in Mud or guest which is basic facilities for all. Full moon night in Manasarovar.
Holy Hot Springs Place of Traditions: Natural hot springs can be found at the bottom of Chiu Monastery, an ancient monastery near Lake Manasarovar. Chiu Gompa offers ritualistic bathing and spiritual renewal, with the water believed to be healing, as well as the sacred lake. There is a small bathhouse where people can take natural hot water baths at Manasarovar, which is now protected by local Tibetans.
Manasarovar Lake Located: Manasarovar, in addition to being known as Brahma's Lake and Mapam Yumtso Lake in Tibetan, Manasarovar is located at an elevation of 4850 meters above sea level. Sarovar is a Lake and Manas is the word for consciousness or mind. Making rounds of the Lake and taking a holy water bath there is believed to cleanse one's soul and body of sins. People who wish to attain salvation, the highest level of Hindu accomplishment, must visit this Lake according to ancient Hindu scriptures. A cascading wave on the Lake looks very charming in the wind. A person who bathes in the pure water of the Manasarovar directly reaches heaven after death, according to the Ramayana. Taking a drink from this Lake also signifies recognizing the abode of Lord Shiva, "Shivalok". Kailash Parbat is located about 58 kilometers north of Manasarovar. The Brahmaputra River flows eastward from the Manasarovar. Additionally, Kailash Parbat and Manasarovar are two places that many people would like to visit at least once in lifetimes. On full moon nights between 2 AM and 4 AM, people believe that Shiva and Parvati bathe in Manasarovar. It is believed that Mata Parvati bathes in Manasarovar every night, as well as seeing live. Hindu religious books mention that every Hindu must visit Lake Manasarovar at least once in their lifetime.
Rakshas Tal (Rakshas Tal (Demon King Ravana Lake) Sarovar As per Hindu tradition, this Lake is named after a Himalayan Lake. According to Hindu mythology, dark water hides carnivorous monsters. This belief led people to avoid this Lake, believing it to be a symbol of dark, destructive forces. This Lake's water is described as poisonous and deadly in a traditional religious story. The poisonous water of Manasarovar was therefore replaced by a tunnel from this Lake. The purity of this Lake led to the introduction of a golden fish into it. It was later discovered that this fish was still alive. In fact, it changed people's negative attitude towards the Lake and they started walking closer to it, but they still don't drink its water. According to Hindu mythology, Ravana made Lord Shiva happy by meditating in this Lake. It is situated at an altitude of 4,540 meters above sea level. There are many birds in Manasarovar, including ducks, but none in Rakshas Lake.
The Khojarnath temple is located 85 kilometers south of Lake Mansarovar in a small Tibetan village known as Khojarnath. According to legend, Lord Rama, Sita Mata, and Lakshmana spent a night here during the Treta Yuga while on a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. Khojarnath temple, built in the seventh century, house the idols of Lord Rama, Sita Mata, and Lakshmana, in memory of such a journey. A daily puja is held here. A journey of 170 kilometers from Mansarovar Lake go and back allows one to see images of Rama, Sita, and Lakshman in this temple. By car, it takes about 4 hours to make the round trip of 170 kilometers. The temple is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
21 May 2027 (Friday) Day 09: Manas means 'brain' and Sarovar means 'Lake of consciousness'. Sacred and spiritual significance attaches to Manasarovar in Hinduism and Buddhism. Stop deep bathing in 2018 AD. Pilgrims are permitted to wash their hands in the Lake. It has been closed to empty and deep bathing. The workers of our company bring water from Manasarovar inside the tents, where it is heated by cooking and mixed with cold water. Separate tents are available for males and females to bathe.
Watch Kailash Tour VideoIt is a holy day when a Nepali Braman Pandit performs Rudrabhishek, Hawan, Aarati rituals the next morning of the full moon.
After bathing each Yatri, a Nepali Brahman priest performs Rudrabhishek, Havan and Aarti with Pushpanjali. Aarti, Rudrabhishek and Pushpanjali are offered to all pilgrims or families visiting Kailash Manasarovar on the full moon evening or the next day. They exchange happiness after performing the Hawan (offering grains mixed with butter to Pooja) and Aarati (butter lamps) have been completed. Some of them are meditating while others are reciting the names of their ancestral gods. Take lunch after Hindu rituals and drive to Darchen (4600 meters - 40 kilometers) for the night.
22 May 2027 (Saturday) Day 10: From Darchen, drive to Yam Dwar.) Yam Dwar is the Gate of Death. Yam Dwar is the starting point for your trek / walk around Mount Kailash. For those who are unable to walk, a pony and local porter can be hired for 4 days, but you must inform us while at Manasarovar, so the Tibetan Guide can arrange it. After walking from Yam Dwar for approximately 5 or 6 hours, you will reach Dirapuk. The north face of Mont Kailash is much closer from Dirapuk. There seems to be Lord Shiva himself staying there.
Mount Kailash: Located at 6714 meters above sea level, Kailash Parbat is a sacred religious place. Traditionally, this region has been considered the purest of all religious places. It is thought to be the center of the world and the origin of all religions before Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. There are many references to Kailash Parbat in the holy books such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Asia's civilization is incomplete without the description of Kailash Parbat, according to ancient Asian stories. In Tibet, Kailash Parbat can be found. There is a lack of satisfactory scientific research in this region. From the Brahmaputra in the east to the Karakoram in the west, this religious Parbat stretches for miles.
Even though they explained Kailash differently, different religious groups, such as the Shaiba, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bon - Po, respect it equally. Buddhist and Shaiba traditional literature describes Kailash as the world's center, which is part of Sumeru. Hindus believe it to be the residence of Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati. Kang Rimpoche is the name by which it is revered by Buddhists. As great natural Mandalas, Kailash and Manasarovar are regarded by Buddhists. For them, the Mandala is a symbol of respect and salvation. There is an isolated peak on this mountain that is worshipped by Jains as Aspada. This is the same place where Rishavadev, the founder of this religion, received spiritual salvation. Various logics can be used to claim this Parbat as sacred.
The isolated Parbat serves as a source for rivers such as the Brahmaputra, Satlaj, Indus and Karnali. Pilgrims should walk 38 km around Mount Kailash within three days, and if they add Charan Sparsh, it will take four days. People who move around the Kailash Parbat will be free of all their sins throughout their lifetimes, according to Hindu mythology. After moving around the Parbat 108 times, they will reach Nirvana. According to legend, a person who moves Nandi once receives the equivalent return of 13 rounds around Kailash. There is a belief that Kailash Parvat is the form of Lord Shiva and that the holy river Ganges flows from the snowy tip of the mountain.
From this Monastery, you can see Mount Kailash in a more beautiful manner. When viewed from Dirapuk, Mount Kailash appears between Mount Manjushree on the right and Mount Bajrapani on the left. Originally from Mount Kailash, the Ganges River meets the Lachhu River and merges with Rakshas Lake and follow out Karnali River. From Rakshas Lake's junction, the Karnali River emerges. The water from Rakshas Lake escapes through the Karnali River, but the water from Manasarovar is stored in the form of Lake Manasarovar
23 May 2027 (Sunday) Day 11: From Dirapuk, pilgrims walk for four hours (4kms) to touch the feet of Mount Kailash, known as Charan Sparsh. Touching the base of Kailash Mountain feels like a blessing from Lord Shiva. Pooja is performed by pilgrims in order to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Getting back to Dirapuk takes approximately one and a half to two hours, and it is a day tour / Yatra. "Charan" means "foot" and "Sparsh" means "to touch". Together, these words mean "to touch one's feet". Touching Kailash Parbat's feet is a tradition that dates back thousands of years. "Charan Sparsh" has a scientific basis, as the human body releases vibrations touching the feet, which encourage the flow of energy and blessings, happiness and success. As a result of this exchange of energy, one gains vigor, self-confidence and contentment. It is like receiving invisible blessings after "Charan Sparsh".
24 May 2027 (Monday) Day 12: A walking tour from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk (4790 meters - 22 kilometers). As we have to pass Dolma La Pass, which is 5636 meters above sea level, today is an important day. With an imminent snowstorm, the weather is unpredictable, so we should start our journey early. After passing the pass, we descend steeply to Shapje Datok and then flat to Zuthulpuk monastery. We will stay in mud houses or guest houses for the night.
GANESH KUND (SAROVAR): On the right-hand side of the walking trail, about 45 minutes before reaching Dolma La Pass 5636m., (Kailash circuit), there is a holy Ganesh Kund. The walking trail is 15 minutes away. This Kund resembles Lord Ganesh's bathing place.
THE LEGEND OF GAURI KUND: According to Hindu mythology, the legend of Shiva Purana mentions Gauri Kund or Parvati Kund as part of Sanatana Dharma. It is said that Gauri Sarovar is for Kailash Yatri's purification and compassion, that it purifies mind, body and speech. As a result, almost all Yatri of Kailash Manasarovar tours also include a tour program. As part of the holy bath offered to Goddess Parvati Mata, the goddess had molded a picture of her son Ganesh from a cleaning solution frothing on her body and resurrected it. In her holy deep, she placed Ganesh at the path to prevent strangers from entering. At the same time, Lord Shiva came to his residence Mount Kailash, but Ganesh jee did not recognize him. When Lord Shiva became angry and cut off the child's head, Mata Parvati became desperate and asked Lord Shiva to restore life to the child. As a result, Parvati had her son back. Kailash tour Yatri is fascinated by this real story.
THE MEANING OR SIGNIFICANCE to visit Gauri Kunda:
By splashing the Jaal on their heads, Kailash Yatri purify their minds, bodies, and speech during their Parikrama or Kora. For their ancestors to have peace in heaven, they offer TARPANA and Jaal (holy water). Their homes are filled with holy water brought from the Kund.
WHERE IS THE GAURI KUND LOCATED?:
On the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra tour, after descending steeply from Dolma La Pass, the highest pass, the round turquoise colored GAURI KUND is situated at 5608m., above sea level, but it has no trail, so you have to walk on massif rock.
